My favorite picture
I took this picture in April of this year. I just love the colors and how they are both looking at the camera with pleasent expressions! Hard to do with the child for certain. When it comes time to scrapbook this for her album, I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. There are several more that I took that day that are great also, but this is my favorite of the bunch.

Scrapbook layout – Decorating cookies
Here is another layout, this one 2 pages. We made gluten free cut out cookies. They turned out super yummy, tasted just like “real” cookies. We had lots of fun baking from scratch… but of course the best part is the frosting! All the elements came from Kim’s Scrappin’: Mrs. Claus Goodies which I love mostly because of the gingerbread elements.

Scrapbook layout – Decorating the Tree
I realized the other day that I haven’t scrapped any of the Christmas pictures I took. So, I’m playing catch up with that and posting a bunch of layout posts for a while. This layout is when my daughter and I decorated our tree. She did a good job this year, putting ornaments all around and not just in one spot. I used the mask feature again on this layout, trying for some “ornament” type shape…it’s kind of a star, kind of not. I really like the little tree though. I was going to give you the link to it, but it seems as if the blog is gone! Oh well, enjoy the layout anyway!

Scrapbook layout – Holiday time
Here is a layout I did of my daughter at church. It was decorated in stages and this scene with the fence and lighted deer was out in the foyer. For the heart shape I used the “mask” feature on my photo program. I used the same feature for the other small picture also. I left that one with slightly “softened” or blurred edges, but decided I liked the heart shape with the hard edges better. The other picture I changed to a sepia tint. For some reason the “i”s in the font are almost disappearing, but I liked the font, otherwise, so I didn’t change it.

Sunday evening
Busy, busy day today! After church we went to my niece’s birthday party. It was at a local pizza place with an old carousel. My daughter had a fun time riding it, 3 times at least! After that we hurried back to church for a pie social and thanksgiving time. There were songs and skits. Daughter went up with her Sunday School class, they all wore little pilgrim hats and sang a couple of turkey songs. Too cute! Here are the lyrics: To the tune of “Frere Jacque”
Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey
Run away, Run away
If you don’t be careful
You will be a mouthful
