Back to School Blog Train
I’m not part of the blog train, but the lady I CT for is…. it’s a huge megakit with over 100 designers who put together back to school mini kits for you. My daughter doesn’t start school (1st grade, gasp!) until September 8th, so I used pictures from last year in Kindergarten. Enjoy, and don’t forget to leave a comment on the blogs you download from! Oh yeah, and my page is from the Tootlebugz kit!
Here is the link for the list of all the blogs on the train: The Blog Train Blog

Some new things
I’ve finally updated my blog, as in how it looks. I’ve also added some new elements to the side bar. If you scroll down toward the bottom of the page you will see some ads there. They are affliate links. The biggest one is to my Amazon store that is stocked with lots of fun scrapbook supplies, not just what is showing on the banner. The second link is to Create For Less, a discount online craft store. They have great deals going all the time. The final link is for Joann.com. So, check them out!
Here are some summer time freebies to check out:
Pockets Full of Sand Collab Kit This is just one of several in this blog train, so make sure to check them all out. There are some really cute beach kits in this kit.
Summer Fun Blog Train Another group kit with several stops. Make sure to check out all the links in the list, there are lots of fun colors and goodies.
Summer Garden Collab Kit by the ADSD team
Mel’s Lightbulb Moments has some fun stuff on there to check out.
We’ve had some HOT days lately, I’m glad that July is ending with some cooler temps, though. I am not acclimated to over 100 degree weather. No thank you! Enjoy those freebies and please leave me a comment if you enjoy my blog, and if there is anything you would want to see.
Happy Bookin!

Welcome to June
Well, May has come and gone.. where did it go? At work it was filled with kid’s birthdays and various celebrations. At home it was my daughter’s school jog-a-thon, our 10 year anniversary and Memorial Weekend camping… then *poof* May was gone. I haven’t created much by way of scrapbooking. I need to get some pictures developed and since getting my new computer, I can’t find my photo editing software cd…. grrrrr. I have to make another pass at all the places it could possibly be, but it’s just annoying I can’t find it.
So for now here are some freebies I’ve found recently on the web.
Ryn’s Creations has a cute I love my pets kit
Mel’s Lightbulb Moments has part of a collab kit called Beach Hut
Pimp Your Scrapbook has a Blog Train for June, also fun beach kits. I believe it’s called Sailboats
Tootlebugz is part of the ADSD blog train Soft Denim there is also another blog train geared toward manly pictures called My Favorite Guy
So, have fun with those and hopefully I can find my software soon and will have new layouts to show off!
Happy Bookin’!

Happy Mother’s Day!
Mother’s day was mostly uneventful here. My hubby has been sick for a week now, but he was a trooper and went out for brunch with us all (after he skipped church) and then afterwards felt much worse than before he ate. Oh well. We gave my mom her beautiful hanging flower basket and I got a planter of flowers also. Caitryn also made a beaded safety pin “for my shirt” at Sunday School, and planted seeds at school that are growing but not flowering yet.. so I don’t know what they are!
After we got home, Caitryn ran around in the yard and I let the bunnies out of their cages, one at a time. The boy bunny wouldn’t leave the cage area and was bothering the girl bunny, so I put him away and got her out, putting her down away from the cages, and she hopped around and had a fine time. Even letting Caitryn pet her a bit. I didn’t get any pictures because my camera was inside and I didn’t dare leave Caitryn alone with the rabbit out.
I also planted the plants I bought yesterday. Half went in containers and the other half went in my small raised bed. Time will tell which ones survive!
Here are some Mother’s Day themed freebies for you. Tell me.. do you like just a list of freebies with a short description, or would you like to see a preview picture of the freebie?

Pumpkin Patch Layout, Mother’s Day and Home Improvement Freebies
Hmm, two completly different things today! Yesterday for National Scrapbook Day I wasn’t able to scrap at all until after my daughter went to bed. So I was only able to finish one page, but that is one page closer to being done with the book, so at least I got the one done! It is from a visit to the pumpkin patch a few years ago. I like how it turned out. I’m trying to do more with paper because I’ve accumulated quite a bit recently, so I need to get using it! Here’s the layout:
Here are some freebies that I’ve found today.
Ryn’s Creations has some Home Improvement Freebies here and here is a blog train of Home Improvement Freebies.
Pimp Your Scrapbook has a May Freebie with springy greens and blues. Very relaxing.
J.a.d.y has a cute Mommy’s day freebie and a matching alpha
Ninie has a set of overlays. These are always fun to add interest to pictures.
