Another Thanksgiving Layout

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend here. Spent Thanksgiving at my Aunt and Uncle’s house. Lots of extended family there. Caitryn and my cousin’s daughter had a good time playing together. The day after was spent mostly shopping. I didn’t get a lot, but we spent a lot of time out and about. Mostly I bought socks for hubby and I and tights for Caitryn. Exciting, huh? Well, I uploaded the pictures from Thanksgiving and made a layout from them. I hope you enjoy it.

November Challenge End

Hello my Bookin’ Friends. Today was the “final” day of the November Challenge. I will leave the gallery folder open so if you decide to upload a “food” layout we can see it. I’m considering offering a small “prize” for the challenges. I would randomly draw a winner for maybe a $20 gift card to a craft store. What do you think? I’ll think about it over the holidays.. maybe it will be something I’ll start in January.. what do you all think? Each person who uploads a layout that is in the monthly challenge “theme” would earn one entry.

I saw a cute idea tonight on Ali Edwards’ blog.. making a button tree! It goes along with the fabric tree I saw on the JoAnn’s website also… both super cute ideas. Not sure if I will get around to either one, but I can dream!

Busy, busy day today! After church we went to my niece’s birthday party. It was at a local pizza place with an old carousel. My daughter had a fun time riding it, 3 times at least! After that we hurried back to church for a pie social and thanksgiving time. There were songs and skits. Daughter went up with her Sunday School class, they all wore little pilgrim hats and sang a couple of turkey songs. Too cute! Here are the lyrics: To the tune of “Frere Jacque”

Okay, on to bookin’ type things. At Cen’s Loft there is the start of a Christmas Collab Kit. Check it out all week. Cen also has some vintage Santa papers that are great too!

Here is my Monthly Challenge layout. It’s from Thanksgiving 2006. My daughter enjoyed more the drinking of sparkling cider than eating any of the food.

All the elements (minus the font) came from Kim’s Scrappin’.

Celebrated my daughter’s 6th birthday day. There were 9 girls who attended, mostly from her soccer team. It was a good time, but a tiring day! It’s lots of work to decorate and get ready for a party.. and I thought I was pretty prepared for the day, only to find myself running behind and putting the finishing touches on things as guests arrived. I didn’t get to take as many pictures as I’d hoped, and as the sole picture taker of the family that meant I didn’t get pictures of some of the activites. Oh well… I think everyone had a great time though and now we have TONS of balloons hanging around the house! Soon I’ll have pictures to share from the fun time.
