Hello all!  I was without internet service again as my household did some shifting around and during that time my service was up for payment and I barely got it paid in time to save all my stuff, whew! So, I am back, again… and hopefully I won’t have any more issues like that! I’m going to try and get all caught up with things this weekend and get back to posting more regularly, although maybe not quite as often, possibly just 2 - 3 times a week. I went to “craft night” at my church this evening and did 2 layouts. I will take pictures of time and show them off.. and also some of the cards I’ve made recently. I  know there are a few of you who are dropping by the blog but not making it over to the forums… please check out the forums too… a fun interactive community.. or it could be if you were there!  I’m trying to make it a place where people can chat about scrapbooking and share their ideas and layouts and ask for help. So, my intent for this blog is for it to be interactive and a community sort of thing. Now, I know there are a lot of places out there that are like this, so why should you participate on this one?  Well, we are small… yes, that can be a plus! It’s like getting together with your friends and sharing ideas and having fun. But it’s not as much fun alone! I need some of you who are stopping by to leave comments or come over the forum, register and participate. Your ideas could be featured on the blog! I’m trying to take inspiration from what people are searching for to get to my site… but the problem with that is, if you’ve gotten to my site from searching a topic, that probably means I’ve already talked about it somewhere! So, if you have a question or a great idea, let me know on the forums and then I’ll be inspired!

Tonight I’ve been flipping between QVC’s craft day and various other programs. I was thinking of getting the Today’s Special Value…. but, it comes with digital scrap software… and I was hoping for just a traditional kit, so the price was a bit higher than I was hoping for. While I’ve been branching out a little into more digital bookin’, I’m happy with using what freebies I find on the web and the program I already have, even though it’s not the “traditional” one that most digi scrappers use.  So, I’m still on the hunt for an album or kit to do my daughter’s next book.

So, since it’s Monday, that means it’s tip/how to day.  This tip comes from the forum from  member ckh61682. She says she carries around a small notebook in her purse in order to write down the cute/funny things her daughter says in order to better remember them for journaling later. What a great tip!

Thought I would get away from the summer theme (even as we are getting the hottest weather of the year this past week, UGH!) and move into Back to School mode. I picked up all the elements at craftpinktoque. Let me know what you think of the new look!

So, I was going through my nightly internet ritual and I came across an interesting end of the month journaling prompt. I found it at the Katie the Scrapbook Lady Blog. It’s called a “round up”.  [Think of this as a sort of "show and tell" about the past month. Answer some or all of the questions to "roundup" memories and great information to use for journaling and scrapbooking.] (direct quote from her blog) So, here are the questions. Answer them for yourself on your blog or just in your scrapbook notes.  I’ll post my answers tomorrow.

Round Up Questions

What books and/or magazines did I read this month?

What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?

What special days did I celebrate and how?

What gifts did I give and/or receive?

What illnesses or health concerns did I have?

What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?

What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?

Round Up Tasks

Backup your digital pictures to cd/dvd and upload them to an online site or two for an extra backup. Send the links to the online albums to friends and family.

Choose photos (or digital layouts) to be printed out and get that done while you are thinking about it.

Make sure your scrapbooking area is cleaned up and organized. Put away new purchases (or organize your hard drive if you are a digi scrapper)

Look over the calendar for the coming month and make note of upcoming events you will want to capture for your scrapbooks.
