Hmm, two completly different things today!  Yesterday for National Scrapbook Day I wasn’t able to scrap at all until after my daughter went to bed. So I was only able to finish one page, but that is one page closer to being done with the book, so at least I got the one done!  It is from a visit to the pumpkin patch a few years ago. I like how it turned out. I’m trying to do more with paper because I’ve accumulated quite a bit recently, so I need to get using it!  Here’s the layout:

Ninie has a set of overlays. These are always fun to add interest to pictures.

I’m offically on vacation, yeah!  Okay, well, I need to head into work to feed the pets as I signed up last month before I knew I was taking a week break, but after that, free and clear! Who knows what I’ll do with my free time.. possibly scrapbook! I did go to craft night last night and got 2 pages done. One I sat and looked at forever and debated even not scrapping those pictures all together, but in the end it turned out fairly well. I’ve found some freebies in my web cruising.

Jamie Dell Scraps:  Has a cute blue and green kit. It’s called Boy Joy, but could be used for girls too. There is a cute button tree and yellow button sun.

Jaelop Designs:  Has a sweet county kit. Lots of texture and fun elements to it.

Freebies by annamaria: The title says it all. She has some fun stuff on there.

I hope to go some places during my work vacation, so hopefully by the end of the week I’ll have some layouts up.

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, I thought I would go out and search for some traditional supplies to use. I personally don’t do much of anything for this day, except for wear green. But there are some great products out there for showcasing your special Irish pictures.

Rusty Pickle has a whole line of products called “Lucky”. The line is not simply shamrocks, but beautiful shades of blue and green with some brown mixed in. There are alphabet stickers to match and pages of sayings to accent your pages.

About.com in the scrapbook section has some St. Patty’s quotes and Irish Blessings.

Celtic Scrapbooking has all sorts of goodies for those of you who do Irish dancing.

JoAnn’s has some cute stickers that are similar to Jolee’s

I’m so glad it’s Friday.. getting up early is taking it’s toll on me, since I can never seem to get into bed before 11 pm! I haven’t yet been able to shift my mind set from working at 10:30 to 7:30… but I’m enjoying my long afternoons… so it’s worth the getting up early in the mornings! Hope you all have great weekends!
