This Saturday, May 2, 2009 is National Scrapbook Day. While I’m not going to any local events, I was thinking about making some goals for the “big” day, or possibly the weekend. I’m going to have a majority of the weekend free because my hubby is going away on a trip for school. Friday night I’m going to see “Spam-A-Lot” (and I’m super excited for that!!!) and most of Saturday I’ll probably be at my parents, but Saturday night I”ll be able to do work and also I’ll try to get stuff done on Sunday as well.  My number one goal is to finish my daughter’s “3rd year” scrapbook. I’ve been trying to finish it at my montly craft night for about 3 months… I want to get to the next book! Part of my problem is I still need to print out some pictures so I need to buy a refill for my photo printer since I can’t find the last one I bought (I’m convinced I haven’t used it yet and it’s hiding in one of the still packed boxes).  But I also just need to get it done. I’ve done too much playing the the cricut I think at craft night and not as much actual creating… but it has been fun!  After that goal, I’m hoping to get done at least my daughter’s 4th birthday… and maybe Thanksgiving. We’ll see. I’ll try to twitter about it.  If you want to follow my tweets you can find me at Erin_Ann.  I recently bought a several Die Cuts With a View stacks.. the Spring paper stack and the Spring glitter mats. I also got the Butterflies and Blossoms stack. I need to get the Spring cardstock stack though, so it’s easier to coordinate. I just got my new JoAnn flyer in the mail and saw the new Summer line is out.. argh! LOL I used a gift card to buy all the other stuff, but I should get the summer line now while it’s 50% off! Like I need more paper, though. It’s just so pretty!

Here is a layout from a visit to the beach a few years ago.  The large photo is a 5 x 7. I used a “fancy” corner rounder on the corners and matted it on pink paper (I think it’s from Close to My Heart), rounding the corners with a “regular” corner rounder. I cut the rest of the beach pictures into ovals and on the side is blue paper with pink ribbon. There are 3 photos from that same day (different location) cut into small squares and a small journal block.  I managed to fit 10 pictures on the layout and I don’t think it’s even cluttered because everything is lined up and there are minimal embellishments, just the ribbon, the flower and the brad.

Here a Scrap, There a Scrap: This site has a very cute spring kit, perfect for those kid pictures.

Pimp Your Scrapbook: March monthly kit. The colors are purples, greens, and some neutrals. Flowers, ribbons, frames and jewels are part of this kit also. Fun!
